18 years after the overthrow of Ceausescu's Communist regime, children are still
being abandoned and are still living on the streets in Romania.
Romania International
Children's Foundation (RICF) was established to provide loving families for abandoned
or orphaned Romanian children.
RICF's aim is to see children reunited with their immediate or extended families. Where
this does not provide a solution, children are placed them with a Romanian foster
family.
Until a suitable family is found, or if a placement turns out to be unsuccessful,
RICF cares for the children in a home setting and provide them with food, clothing,
education and all the support they need to help them reintegrate into Romanian society.
